INDEPENDENT FRAGRANCE AHLUWALIA

The Brief:

For your brief ‘Visual Report/Zine’ you will research into a chosen brand and create a fragrance campaign for Ahluwalia. It can be whatever you like: perfume, interior, lifestyle; it just has to be fragrance.

Due to Covid-19 the world of fragrance has been swayed from evening perfumes to interior fragrances. This change in consumer behaviour resulted in my choice of using incense sticks in Ahluwalia's campaign. Along with the cultural ties that it has to memories in India, this connection is imperative, due to Ahluwalia's strong connection to her heritage. I also incorporated decorative incense mats made out of dead-stock materials to triumph the brand’s passion for sustainability.

Ahluwalia zine:

The incense sticks and dead-stock mats will be promoted through an in-store experience, where consumers can write down a memory that the incense’s scent reminds them of. This will result in a wall within the retail space covered by consumers’ memories, creating a personal connection to the incense and space, along with the wall acting as a photo opportunity for consumers to share on socials. This will result in earned media for the incense and experience.
